JOB SUMMARY:
Perform general maintenance duties in a stamping and manufacturing facility. Check fluid levels, topping off fluid levels and record them. Monitor and perform other preventative maintenance while keeping the Maintenance Supervisor informed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Check Ravne Pit (lube tank) (Hydraulic tank)(bolster tank)(cushions**) . Squeegee the floor, straighten up, and make sure product is down in the pit. Check catwalk for leaks + clean.
• Check bolster tanks under press 19 thru 21 as well presses #12,#7, & #8. Also check ATF tanks twice a week.
• Check oils in the Wolverines + 5 axis, (Observing filters and drain buckets).
• Check all 600W oils (Press 19-21 & 12). Monitoring usage to oversee problems in system.
• Check compressor room,
• Wall Filters
• Compressor filters
• Oil levels (Ingersoll + Copco)
• Dryer
• Separator buckets
• Check All Hilo fluids (oil, hydraulic, ATF, brake fluids, antifreezes) Check radiator for debris and foreign objects. Inspect for leaks; tire tread, etc.
• Check all airlines for condensation
• Check the floor scrubber fluids and man-Lift.
• Check and Clear debris from roof drains
• In the warm months when rtu’s are operating insure condensate drains are working and clear of obstruction.
• Clean and lubricate as needed overhead door tracks
• Ensure press ways are greased monthly or according to usage
• Must have a valid driver’s license (with less than 2 points) to drive company vehicle when required, home deport etc.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING:
• A minimum of one or more years of related experience and training
• Must have a High School Diploma/GED
• Must successfully pass written MIOSHA Industrial Forklift test and perform safety demonstration of operating Hi-Lo
MINIMUM LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving
• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, crouch, stand and walk intermittently throughout the work day
• Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders as required to check all fluid levels
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Job duties may involve working in moderate heat during the summer
• Safety Glasses/Safety Goggles/ Hearing Protection and lock-out/tag-out, hearing protection is mandatory in the plant
• Hard hats are required when job tasks meet plant safety requirements
• Job duties may involve working near heavy machinery with moving parts and moderate noise levels
